The Course
This course is designed to create expert directors of photography and still photographers for feature films, commercials, television shows, and live stage shows. The fundamentals of all aspects of film direction, media production, scriptwriting, visual effects, and editing are included in this course.

The Curriculum
Semester I
1st Quad
Theory
Introduction to the language and grammar of visual media, art and visual perception, basics of cinema, basics of script writing, and creative meanings of shots, lenses, and camera movements.
Practical
Familiarity with film cameras and other shooting equipment. Practical classes in camera movements.
2nd Quad
Theory
Basics of lighting, creative sense of lenses and shots, visualization and illustration, crafting visual images, communication skills, and making of scenes.
Practical
Basic lighting, basic camera movement, creative usage of lenses, and basic usage of advanced equipment.
Semester II
3rd Quad
Theory
Creative lighting for fiction, lighting for commercials, green matte lighting, and special effects lighting. How to compose properties, costumes, and background in relation to the feelings and emotions of the protagonist.
Practical
Mood lighting, lighting for commercials, green matte lighting, creative lighting. Practical training in professional editing systems, including sound recording equipment. Visual effects creation.
4th Quad
Theory
Special effects shooting, green matte shooting, usage of advanced equipment.
Practical
Practical work as director of photography for a feature film.
Course Fees
Course fees amount to ₹95,000 + GST per semester.
