The Course

This course is designed to create film and media professionals who are experts in film editing and digital intermediate color grading.

Career Opportunities

Work as a video editor for features, television, documentaries, social media, or commercials. Work as a color grading artist, VFX technician, color assistant, or DI coordinator for international channels.

The Curriculum

Semester I

1st Quad

Theory

Introduction to the language and the grammar of visual media. art and visual perception, basics of cinema, basics of scriptwriting, creative meanings of shots, lenses, and camera movements.

Practical

Familiarity with film cameras and editing and DI systems. Visual Editing.

2nd Quad

Theory

Basics of film editing, basics of visual design, basics of lighting, creative sense of lenses and shots, visualization, and illustration.

Practical

Short film editing and coloring. Ad film editing and coloring.

Semester II

3rd Quad

Theory

Basics of lighting, creative sense of lenses and shots, Visualization and illustration, the craft of visual images, and creativity in editing.

Practical

DI Coloring. Different paces of fiction editing – family drama, action, horror, and so on.

4th Quad

Theory

Advanced editing patterns and coloring patterns.

Practical

Professional web series editing and coloring. Feature film editing.

Course Fees

Course fees amount to ₹95,000 + GST per semester.
