The Course
This course is designed to create film and media professionals with expertise in film direction, script writing, and media production. Our goal is to help you create your own feature films, preserving your creative personality through styles of your own instead of following the footsteps of others. With this course, you will be able to make your own marks on films, documentaries, and advertisements as well as programs on international channels. This course will allow you to explore and gain insight into all aspects of film production. By working alongside well-known industry professionals, you will develop skills and experience that are essential to becoming part of the film industry.
Career Opportunities
Work as a director in features, television, documentaries, social media, or commercials. Work as a scriptwriter, film editor, script supervisor, and creative director for international channels.
The Curriculum
Semester I
1st Quad
Theory
Introduction to the language and grammar of visual media, art and visual perception, basics of cinema, basics of script writing, creative meanings of shots, lenses, and camera movements.
Practical
Familiarity with film cameras and other film shooting equipment. Practical camera movements.
2nd Quad
Theory
Developing thoughts, visualization and illustration skills, crafting visual images, communication Skills, making of scenes.
Practical
Basic lighting, basic camera movements, creative usage of lenses, and basic usage of advanced equipment.
Semester II
3rd Quad
Theory
Creative lighting for fiction, lighting for commercials, green matte lighting, and special effects lighting. How to compose properties, costumes, and background in relation to the protagonist.
Practical
Creating mood lighting, lighting for commercials, green matte lighting, special effects lighting, and creative scene lighting. The students are also trained in professional editing systems, creation of visual effects, and sound recording equipment.
4th Quad
Theory
Shooting special effects.
Practical
Green matte shooting, usage of advanced equipment, and working as DOP for a feature film.
Course Fees
Course fees amount to ₹95,000 + GST per semester.
