The Course

We aim to mold media professionals who are proficient at sound recording, sound mixing, live sound recording and mixing, multi-cam sound recording and mixing, as well as video editing. The basics of all major aspects of audio production are covered in this course to create a generation of musical prodigies.

The Curriculum

Semester I

1st Quad

Theory

Art and visual perception, the science of sound, audio electronics, and introduction to music.

Practical

Familiarity with software like Avid Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos. Basics of sound recording.

2nd Quad

Theory

Introduction to sound mixing, mixer anatomy, and equalization. Analog and digital audio. Basics of visual editing, visual design, and theory of music.

Practical

Sound recording and mixing technics, reverbs and delays, and basics of visual editing.

Semester II

3rd Quad

Theory

Saturation, automation, and A3 dimensional mix. Live sound reinforcement and film analysis.

Practical

Sound mixing practice. Microphones, pre-amplification, and equalization. Live sound recording.

4th Quad

Theory

Learn more about software like Avid Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and surround sound formats like Dolby Atmos.

Practical

Sound recording mixing and mastering of a multi-cam live shoot. Sound recording, mixing, and mastering of songs and going through all sound stages of a feature film.

Course Fees

Course fees amount to ₹95,000 + GST per semester.
